Heartburn after having stomach flu, no vomiting only diarrhea, fever and aches. Tums (calcium carbonate) and organic vinager don't help. What would help the heartburn?

In brief: Try an H2 blocker

Some people develop heartburn after a stomach flu even without vomiting, because the stomach flu may have caused gastroesophageal reflux, and irritation to the esophagus.
I suggest try famotidine 20mg twice a day or ranitidine 150mg twice a day, both are over the counter. In addition, avoid alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes, large meals, and fatty meals. Also, Gaviscon tabs are a wonderful antacid.
