I was told by my surgeon the reason l felt so much pain during my cataract operation was my medication can you tell my what tablets can cause this?

No tablet medication. I can think of none of usual daily tablet medications that would account for pain during cataract surgery. A good retrobulbar block anesthesia completely eliminates pain of surgery by nerve block. Topical and intracameral anesthesia blocks pain at the end organ. Both methods usually yield pain free surgery. There is a rare person whose body chemistry rapidly deactivates the "caine" anesthetics.
