Wondering about heart rate. when sitting/lying down it can drop as low as 52-54, walking around it can hit 100. Exercising up to 170. Is this normal?

In brief: Normal 50-100

Normal heart rate is 50-100.
Certainly HR will increase with vigorous exercise but 170 could be problematic. How good of shape you're in could effect both your resting and during exercise heart rate
