In brief: Work on indoors

There are several things you can do indoors to decrease allergy symptoms from dust mites.
Air filters, avoiding open shelves, get rid of carpeting, damp dusting, wear a mask while cleaning, avoid stuffed animals and other items in your bedroom that collect dust, and use an allergy cover on your pillow and mattress. Nasal steroids and nasal antihistamines do help. Outdoor environ is hard to control

In brief: No-yes-probably

House dust mites only dwell indoors and are present primarily in your mattress, box spring, and pillows if you live in tropical or temperate zones and at lower elevation.
Whereas mite-proof encasing on the bedding is recommended, evidence is lacking on whether this does reduce one's symptoms. As for Veramyst and Patanase, the effectiveness varies from person to person but should usually be helpful
