Alcohol is drying to the skin and can be deterimental. Toners that contain alcohol (astringents) should also be avoided. Find a moisturizers that is free of alcohol, scents, dyes, fragrances, or other chemicals. Moisturizers that contain ceramide, free fatty acids and cholesterol (barrier lipids) are very beneficial.
