What do I do when a child touches a hot light bulb and gets burned on the fingers?

In brief: Ice and aloe vera
Put ice on it immediately for about 4-5 minutes if you are able.
If there are no blisters that appear and only some reddness the child should be just fine. Aloe vera applied after the ice is very effective also. If it blisters or burn an entire layer of skin see your doctor.
