Should a child go back to school tomorrow, after just being diagnosed with mono?

Pediatrics

In brief: Probably not

At the onset mosr kids are still contagious but this period of time is hard to determine.
The child may be overly tired and lethargic and school would not be beneficial if he can't even stay awake. When to return varies from patient to patient and it probably is best to talk with your pediatrician.
