In brief: Single dose

Cefixime (Suprax) is no longer recommended as routine gonorrhea treatment; a shot of ceftriaxone is the drug of choice.
However, cefixime still is usually effective. The recommended dose is 400 mg single dose, i.e. take all at once. It always must be combined with a second antibiotic, usually azithromycin single dose or doxycycline for 7 days. Check with the doc or clinic treating you.
