In brief: Adaptation

Contact lens wear comfort takes adaptation.
First of all, The lens should feel comfortable in the eye. Proper fitting is essential. Vision should b clear after lens settles. Starting out with low wear time (2hours) & slowly building helps. Excessive irritation/itchiness/mucous is a sign of improper fit, or sensitivity to the lens or contact solutions, or environ. allergies. Tell your Eye doc.

In brief: Not unusual

This could be your eye adapting to contact lens.
Use lots of wetting solution. and wean yourself into the lenses several hours more each day.. Do not sleep in the lenses. If eyes hurt when contacts in you may need to be refit. Do not wear lenses if you have yellow discharge and see your eye doctor ASAP
