In brief: Be careful
While Questran (cholestyramine) can be used to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, it should not be used to lower trigylerices (fats in the blood).
In fact, Questran (cholestyramine) may actually raise trigylerides. Best of luck!

In brief: Questran (cholestyramine)
Questran (cholestyramine) can be used for management of high lipids.
It is not usually a first line agent, but used in patients who are sensitive to statins or have elevated triglycerides that have not responded to statin therapy. It is usually added to another therapy.
