Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but dental decay under a crown means removal is needed.
It is possible to repair the tooth again and new crown placed, but chance is slim--the decaying tooth cannot hold the new crown (not healthy enough). Likely u will need tooth extraction and possible bridge or implant. The sooner the better..See your dentist/orthodontist. Good luck.

Decay can occur under a crown.
However if it is under a new crown - then something was not done right. If you have pain as the symptom - you may need a root canal for that tooth. Have an endodontist (root canal specialist) evaluate the tooth - as an independent 2nd opinion.
