In brief: Hmmm....

The most common medication used (oxybutin) works within hours.
Nearly all of it's effect is by 1 week. It changes the tone of the bladder. Exercises to strengthen the bladder have to build muscle tone and that takes a minimum of 2 weeks. Sometimes people can have an inflammation of the bladder that has to heal up. This is NOT a common cause of overactive bladder
