In brief: Lubrication

First thought would be dry eyes and contact lens intolerance.
Try "wetting" drops formulated for your type of cls, i.e. "hard" or "soft" cls, in several times daily while wearing your cls. Try putting a good otc drop like systane, optive, genteal, or soothe, in your eyes after the cls are removed. If none of that is helpful, the cls may need to be refitted, or a different brand tried.
