In brief: Two problems

One is biological - men make millions of sperm but it only takes one to fertilize an egg.
The safe, effective, reversible male contraceptive is always 'just around the corner' but i imagine researchers will get there. Problem two is social - would a woman trust a guy who says he's "on the male pill"? An implant would be more reliable than something he has to remember to take every day.
