May be a common issue such as de quervains, one may need to refine the comlaint, ie , is the swelling in the whole hand or just feels swollen. Why is my right hand tingling? It just started suddenly this morning. It's a light tingling feeling on my palm to my pinky finger. 

Cubical tunnel or... Most commonly an ulnar nerve compression at the elbow, or less likely a nerve root being pinched at the neck. Avoid sleeping with you arm bent under your head at night.
