Aerosolized lead is very toxic and one reason OSHA requires protective gear for those working with it. (Battery reclamation centers) Just being around lead is not a real risk.Your doc can do a simple blood test to monitor exposure. At high levels it can cause anemia/brain damage/seizures/death.
