After wrist cat bite, saw two tiny white strings poke out of wound. What was that? Pain/swelling slowly improving on augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) but tendon is sore.

Cat bite wound. Cat bites are quite dangerous-- more so than u might think because the injury is small. 80% of bites become infected and yours certainly is b/c u described pus coming out from the puncture wounds. Oral antibiotics may not be enough - esp if swelling, pain, redness & as u describe pus. Best to have seen again by doc - sometimes IV antibiotics or surgery are required. Check ur vaccine status too. .
Cat bite. The two white strings may be part of a partially torn tendon. Consult a hand surgeon or an orthopedist.
