What to do if I had high blood pressure. Need pills!!?

Go see your doctor. 1st, check blood pressure (BP) at home. 2nd, bring BP cuff into family doc's office for calibration. 3rd, review calibrated home readings w/said family doc. If it's repeatedly high, then s/he can prescribe BP lowering meds. However, you still need to check BP regularly to achieve correct dose. Regular exercise, good nutrition & enough sleep also help. Don't forget to get blood tests, too.
