Doctors, what is the difference between tazorac (tazarotene) gel and cream?

In brief: Same medicine but...

Gels in general are a bit stronger than their cream counterparts of the same medicine.
So if you have a medicine that is working and then the effects begin to wane a bit, or you see response but could see better, sometimes going to the gel will help. But with increased strength also comes increased side effects, so be careful.

Gels are more drying than creams.
