The overall rate of death is very low and significantly less than 10/100, 000, or 1 /10, 000.
Most of these would be in children who also had some chronic illness such as cystic fibrosis, cancer, etc.

In brief: Pnemonia

Thogh not that common but deaths due to pneumonia still occurs in children in us.
But early immunisation have definitely cut down the number of cases.But the vaccines at present only covers 7 types of pneumococcals and we still see pnemococcal pneumonia and there are other bacteria causing pneumonia as well.And some resistance to immunisation also contrbute to it.
