In brief: SVT & pregnancy
Svt, or supraventricular tachycardia can be serious in pregnancy for two reasons.
First some of the meds used to treat preterm labor can cause or worsen svt. In addition, episodes of svt can lower blood pressure or cause syncope either of these can be harmful to the fetus. If you have any episodes of tachycardia, see your physician right away.
