Very painful fluid-filled blisters surrounding entire mouth. Doctor said didn't look like typical herpes simplex1. Noticed 2 small blisters on forearm?

Need biopsy. The base of these needs to be scraped and examined under the microscope for cells with inclusion bodies. Hand foot and mouth disease usually has a maculopapular rash caused by intestinal viruses of the picornaviridae family. commonly Coxsackievirus A16 and Enterovirus 71 but these are seldom painful. See a dermatologist. Best wishes.
