In brief: Slightly more

Invisalign prices vary greatly depending on the extent of the correction you need & where you live in the nation.
Prices typically range from $3000 to $8000. According to braces.Com, the price of metal braces also varies widely, based again on the region you reside in & the amount of correction needed. However, these prices generally tend to be slightly lower than the price for invisalign.

In brief: Varies in cost

Braces and clear aligner treatment may be very similar in cost.
The only way to determine if braces or aligners are best for you and their associated professional fees is to make an appointment for an evaluation with a licensed orthodontic specialist.

In brief: Likely a bit more

Invisalign claim they cost ~$5000, with range 3500-8000.
Traditional course of orthodontia in ohio is ~$5000. A call to your local orthotontic practice will probably get you more specific pricing and other helpful information, (and likley a sales pitch thrown in :-).

There are only less than 10,000 certified orthodontists in the U.S., the overwhelming majority of Invisalign providers are general dentists. That should provoke some thought.

In brief: Typically $1,000

for our practice at least, but this can vary greatly by provider

In brief: Usually more and...

Invisalign tends to be pricier than traditional orthodontics.
That is a consideration of what you pay. In my very own personal opinion (as an orthodontist of 30 years), the cost is much more in that the quality of the work is so much less than with traditional braces. If you are lucky enough to be treated by a gifted clinician, you can expect nice results (if a moderate case). Have braces.

In brief: Not germain

The question you should be asking is which will give you a better result.
Invisalign tends to be more expensive, because of huge laboratory costs, but is less than half as effective as braces. The more severe the problem, the more you need traditional braces. See an orthodontic specialist for an opinion.

Dr. Malerman knows of what he speaks, and I am glad another doctor is not shy about pointing out how very important it is that quality should guide you in your decision making. Invisalign works, true. The overwhelming majority of doctors using it are not trained in the growth and development of functional and anatomical aspects of orthodontia. One can, with a dental licence, be "certified" by taking a weekend course. Consider that a modern orthodontist has passed the rigors of 4 years of dental school and in addition another 3 years of post-doctoral education in the ART and SCIENCE of orthodontic treatment. I see the public appeal, but most people realize that it is appearance that sells the technique, not the results. Nothing worth having is without compromise. Traditional orthodontics is worth the cosmetic compromise for the year or two it takes to create a beautifully crafted smile and occlusion. Thank you Dr. Malerman!
