I have this weird itchy red/bumpy rash, that has little zit like bubbles. It's from my thumb to mid way to my elbow. What could it be???

Rash. I'd really need more information about acuity/chronicity as well as associated symptoms - pain, drainage, size of bubbles - to hazard an educated guess. 5 yr old son has an itchy bumpy rash, for lack of a better word, on his elbow. It doesn't look very red but bumpy almost like a cold sore. Have pic?

Eczema possibly . The elbow is a common spot for eczema to flare up. If there is a history of eczema, allergies or asthma it increases chance of it being eczema. If there is no concern that it is infected a trial of a low dose over the counter steroid could be tried to see it improves. I have slightly elevated redness in my arm nearest to the elbow that keeps on geeting bigger. Its not that itchy but keeps on spreading?

Dermatitis/infection. New onset of a red raised area of skin can generally be caused by an irritant, allergy or infection. An irritant (like poison ivy or chemical) can cause a contact dermatitis. An allergic reaction to something either external (environment) or internal (food/medication) can cause an allergic dermatitis. Either of these tend to itch. Infection is less likely to itch.
