How do I tell the difference from BV or yeast infection?

In brief: BV & yeast infection

Typically, BV gives you a thin, gray vaginal discharge with a bad fishy odor. Candidiasis or yeast infection gives you a thick, white cottage cheese- like vaginal discharge.
You should get tested for them to find out what you have as the appearance of your vaginal discharge does not confirm the diagnosis and you could have both or more (trichomonas, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc.).
