My eye swelled from a mosquito bite above my eye, does sitting or standing up help it, what else would help the swelling go down?

In brief: Ice

For the first few hours, use crushed ice in a baggie on top of the lid.
By the next day it should be back to normal unless you have more than an average amount of allergy to the mosquito bite. You can also take a Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or chlorpheneramine to help . These can make you sleepy so take them late in the day.
