In brief: Why keep out ?

Unless your school has a restriction on fever or the kid is too sickly to benefit, there is no reason a kid with a simple ear infection should be kept out of school.
If they are fever free and can sit still to watch their favorite TV show they can go to school.

If your child no longer has a fever and is acting normally, then they are fine to go to school.
