In brief: Not usually

Falls are very common in infants starting to walk.
Practice makes perfect! but most of the falls are not going to do any harm unless they fall from hights or hit pointy objects. Thank goodness that our skull is very strong so it is very unusual to do any damage to the brain.

good thing I don't remember any of my falls. No damage done, AKA selective falling. Your mother instinct will tell you if the fall is good or bad. Have fun with baby
