Probably reflects the population from which they are drawn.
When all else fails, and you cannot make it in school - why not try some magical practice to help treat people. And the public is more than anxious to spend their money on such nonesense.

No one who actually knows anything will be stupid enough to spend $100 for one drop of the stuff from a water softener offered as a cancer cure.
And many of these people -- and this is not a prejudiced statement -- are from the developing world, speak little english and are trying to rob "stupid americans." i'm glad you and most folks see through this nonsense. Health and friendship.
