In brief: Depends why!

Nobody gets intubated without a reason.
Was it for surgery? Abdominal surgery can compress the lung bases, which then must reexpand. There are many reasons for shortness of breath. Intubation is done to support ventilation and treat inability to breathe; it does not cause shortness of breath. Muscle relaxants used during surgery may cause mild shortness of breath while wearing off.

In brief: Intubation

depends on why you were intubated.
The procedure itself should not cause shortness of breath in and of itself.

In brief: Yes

Shortness of breath can have many causes.
After surgeries some of the anesthetics can make patients short of breath. It is typically temporary if it is from the anesthetics.
