Fillers. Fillers are a great non surgical option for lip enhancement. Restylane (dermal fillers) was recently approved to augment the lips.
Injectable fillers. There are a number of fda approved injectable fillers that can be used to augment the volume of the lips. This is usually done with some local anesthetic. The effect is immediate but will slowly go away as the filler is reabsorbed by the body.
Various options. There are a number of ways to enhance the lips. There are a variety of fda approved injectable fillers. Fat injection or transplants can be done. There are also permanent implants available although these should be used with caution.
Get Restylane (dermal fillers). Restylane (dermal fillers) is a filler that works well in the lips. This is an office procedure that takes about half an hour.
Office procedure. Lips can be enhanced in the office by injecting them with a filler like juviderm, Restylane (dermal fillers) or your own fat. You can also have silicone implants placed in the office under local anesthesia for more permanent results. Properly done, lip enhancement can look very natural with either technique.
Lip augmentation. There are a variety of lip augmentation procedures with varying costs, risks & benefits. Meet with a plastic surgeon to discuss the options of fillers, fat grafting, implants, tissue rearrangement, etc. Although permanent options appear appealing, I generally recommend temporary fillers to "try out" the look and appearance prior considering more long term options. Juvederm is a popular 1st choice.
Lip surgery. An office based procedure these days with fillers that last one year makes this a popular request. It can look natural if done well or like duck lips if that is your desire! Good luck!
