Can you tell me about it's like to use mepron (atovaquone) antibiotic for chronic Lyme disease?

Used for Babesia, Mepron or atovaquone is used to treat the parasite Babesia, often in combination with azithromycin. It has not been shown by blinded studies to be effective in chronic lyme disease.
Atovaquone. Atovaquone is NOT used to treat Lyme disease. It is used as part of a regimen to treat Babesiosis, an infection which is also transmitted by the tick that transmits Lyme disease. If you have been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease you should be under the care of an infectious disease specialist.
