In brief: Depends on location
Where the avm is located will dictate any physical restrictions.
If it is on your leg or arm, then no real restrictions except to avoid direct trauma to the area. If inside an internal organ, then there may be more restrictions. If it is intracranial, then avoid any contact sports that could injure it and cause bleeding.

In brief: AVM or AVN?
Avn refers to loss of blood supply to a part of a joint and damage that can lead to collapse of bone and joint destruction, it can involve any joint, most commonly hip, knee or shoulder. In avn exercise limitations depend on the joint involved and the stage of the damage.
Avm is an arteriovenous malformation, some can be of minimal clinical significance and others, (brain) can be deadly.
