Diet for diabetic should be no sugars that includes sucrose, glucose and fructose and restrictions in carbohydrates.
Having said that most of yhe type 2 diabetics also have high cholesterol high blood pressure and then you have to restrict salt, and sorces of cholesterol, red meat and milk products, mor poultry, fish, vegetables and whole grains and a serving of nuts.But it is best to consult dietician.
