Placenta previa's tend to migrate up into the large(fundus) part of the uterus when it is marginally attached near the cervical opening and the pregnancy goes to term. A ultrasound can confirm its' location.
If you have any vaginal bleeding whatsoever, go directly to the hospital if it is bright red and call your OB immediately.
