Is it still considered the flu if the symptoms are vomiting the first day then fatigue, hot flashes, extreme sensitivity to cold and body aches?

In brief: Maybe

Flu can cause vomiting though that's less likely than fever and bad cold symptoms.
Other viruses that feel like the flu but more likely to cause vomiting. Adenovirus very common in our area right now. It can cause everything associated with a cold and everything associated with a stomach bug. Just for fun you can also get pink eye, rash, viral meningitis, and blood in urine. Lasts 7-14 days, too.

In brief: "The flu"

True "flu" is a single virus--influenza--with a number of different strains.
Sometimes they can have varying symptoms including vomiting and the others you described. But a number of other viruses get called "the flu" by people on assumption, without testing. The only way to know for sure if you have influenza is to have a test performed on your nasal secretions by your physician.
