In brief: Rare, serious.

Rare but potentially serious fetal abnormal heart rate patterns can be seen with prenatal testing and ultrasound.
If associated with abnormal cardiac anatomy, then the prognosis is grim for intact survival. Certain antiarrhythmic drugs can be given to the mother in hopes of treating the fetus, but they have maternal risks and are not always effective. Delivery may have 2b hastened in severe cases.
