In brief: You can

May work better than an individual herb.
You have to find what works for you. Be careful because many come from china and other 3rd world countries and they are not monitored by the fda. Use a company that tests all their raw ingredients for authenticity, purity and potency.

Dr. Lang's warning is quite appropriate. Numerous articles have shown significant risk to taking OTC "biologicals" because we have no idea what is really in them and some are toxic.

In brief: Menopause

If you use botanicals from reliable companies (generally from germany, switzerland, or the usa) these can be very safe.
Being certified "gmp" on the label is good. Black cohosh by nature's way and sage menopause tablets by a vogel may help and be safe. Talk with your doctor about them. Some traditional chinese medicines can help, but contents can be questionable in some cases.

In brief: Controversial

Traditionaly medicine believes that women who are symptomatic for menopause can be treated with HRT for 2-5years using synthetic hormones.
Integrative medicine/age management believes that you can use hormones as long as you remain a good candidate for many years. They use bio identical hormones. Interview both types of physicians and see who you like better.
