In brief: You may be able to
Prevent osteoporosis and slow down bone loss even after you've been diagnosed with osteopenia .
If you've received an osteopenia diagnosis, now's the time to take preventive measures that can build up your bone health before a condition like osteoporosis robs you of bone density. There are many options to treat osteopenia, and you and your doctor should work together to figure out. Good luck thanks.

Vit D and Calcium is not enough for osteopenia or osteoporosis. Some meds for osteopenia could be taken orally, other could be infusion every other year. Your doctor needs to examine you, do labs to make sure the options are right for you. Bone scan is done every -3 years (not yearly). Hope it helps

In brief: Ca, vit D, exercise
Calcium, vitamin d and weight bearing exercise can all help prevent and even reverse bone loss.
