In brief: Viral bronchitis...

Viral bronchitis can produce these symptoms and it typically runs its course over a few days to week.
If your symptoms are worsening, you should see your doctor. If you smoke, you need to quit today to decrease airway inflammation.

Consider your built environment (the housing you are in), American Lung Association has great information on making your indoor environment more lung friendly. No smoke is a great start but there are other important factors that are important- including flooring, cleaning materials, personal products used, wood burning fireplace can cause airway inflammation. All the Best!

In brief: Yes

Viral infections can change the color of the mucus and can cause chest pain.
Usually viral infections will peak by day 5 of an infection. If symptoms are not getting better by that time or if coughing is to the point where sleep is effected then a doctors visit may well be indicated. If a bronchodilator is not helping then it may also make sense to contact your physician.
