In brief: Multiple problems

Children will have weak muscle tone which may delay walking or other motor skills.
Infants can have compression of the spinal cord or upper airway resulting in death. Bowed legs and a swayed back are coomon.

Obviously the child will be shorter than his or piers and may develop arthritis at an early age.

Besides being below normal height, the child is at risk for early developement of arthritis.
