Is it true that putting baby powder on your feet stops them from smelling?

In brief: Helps

Bacterial action on sweat contributes to foot odor. Baby powder/talcum powder/anti-fungal spray help keep feet dry (latter helps prevent/treat athlete's foot.
Not wearing the same pair of shoes, etc every day allows footwear to dry & prevents odor. If feet sweat a lot, changes socks often, reapplying powder each time.

Be careful not to inhale powder, especially if you have lung disease.
