In brief: Variable
They do die relatively young in the 20s and 30s but they thrive on love just the same as normal kids and their death is unpredictable.

In brief: Into 60's
If a kid is born with ds today & receives the care offered to non ds kids for their many problems their projected lifespan is 60+ years.
As they age they do have many problems more common to the DX like scoliosis, foot problems, diabetes, thyroid problems etc. However, their life is much different today than 50 yrs ago when they were often parked in institutions.
