Can you tell me if a b- blood type could be used for someone with o+ blood type to have a blood transfusion?

In brief: No

Each person has two components to blood type (one each from mother & father).
To be "O," both must be O (OO). To be type B, could be BO, BB, OB. Type O(-) ideally is the "universal donor," as cells lack any major antigens. O could be given to B,but Type B has antigens that would react in a person w/type O blood.
