If you forget to delay a small breakfast after taking Carafate (sucralfate) (e.G. Only waiting a half hour), do you get any benefit (or harm) from having taken it?

In brief: Yes, but a bit less
It is recommended that Carafate (sucralfate) be takenon an empty stoomach 1 hour before meal or two-three hours after. The presence of food interfere with its ability to work--binding/coating the ulcers etc.
..So, taking it a half an hour before you should get some benefit (no harm should come from this). If you have additional concerns, post them here on healhtap.Com or consult your doc...Good luck.
