My nephew is in advanced stages of Crohn's disease. He has had many treatments including ramicade. Are there any new medications for him?

Several. There are several other drugs beside remicade (infliximab). However the first question is whether he needs his Remicade (infliximab) dosing optimized. Sometimes adding a second medicine on top of the Remicade (infliximab) can be beneficial. Finally there are several alternative drugs including adalimumab, certulizumab, mercaptopurine, and methotrexate.

Hemochromatosis. The goal of treatment for hemachromatosis is to prevent iron build up in your tissues and organs. Initial treatment, usually by blood donation, will be to try to get rid of the already increased iron stores in your system. Once that is depleted, then future treatment will be to try to prevent recurrent future build up. It is important to continue this for your entire lifetime. Good luck. Read more...
