What causes extreme exhaustion? Needing like 15 hrs of sleep a day to function. Thyroid levels are normal. Could it be cancer?

In brief: Can be many things.

There can be many reasons.
One can be anemia, which can result from colorectal cancer, or iron deficiency or some other underlying cause. Another can be infection, which can complicate cancer. Lack of nutrition can play a role. It can even still be thyroid, because in sick euthyroid syndrome, there can be impaired conversion of thyroid hormone. More endocrine work-up/tests may be needed.
