Being allergic to bees. Is taking celestamine tablets after a sing sufficient or is an epipen (epinephrine) required? How long will the celestamine take to work?

In brief: Too long

Unless you have certain medical conditions the risk of a dangerous allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) far outweighs the risk associated with an Epinephrine injection.
Shoot first, ask questions later . Take the antihistamine afterwards. Deaths from anaphylaxis are associated with delays in administration of epinephrine. Have your Dr. provide a written action plan for you and those close to you

In brief: Depends

It depends on how bad your allergic reaction is.
If you just get hives then celestamine may be enough but if you develop throat/facial swelling then you need an epipen (epinephrine). If you've had anaphylaxis to bees in the past it is safer to carry an Epipen (epinephrine) with you at all times. All oral medications take at least 45min to 1 hour to start working.
