When taking blood pressure at home, should I keep my palms up or down? Reading online it says palm up. When they're up i get a slightly lower reading.

In brief: Up

Best position for measuring a resting BP is in the seated position with palms up.
Best to have been seated for a couple of minutes so that your BP has had time to re-equilibrate after ambulation. I prefer cuff pressures taken from forearm over wrist or finger measurements.
