What is the difference between a "normal" over-active child and an add hyperactive child?

In brief: ADD vs normal

All children may have times of hyperactivity and distractibility.
Until about age 5, it is very difficult to know what is too much. However, a child who is uncontrollably restless and disruptive at home and at school should at least be evaluated. If the problem is only in one setting or the other, then the likelihood of add is less.
